Wealth Is A State Of Mind: The Mantra of the Millionaire Mindset

Wealth is a state of mind. Allow me to repeat this: wealth is a state of mind. There are many courses and books out there that preach this particular doctrine, but a quick glance at the state of our fellow man makes me wonder how many people actually, truly get this? In its simplest form, this truth that wealth is a state of mind is underlined by the fact that in order to achieve a thing, one must first conceive of that thing in his mind. Then, he must believe this thing to be possible. Without the preceding factors, the act of getting out of the bed in the morning would be rendered impossible. After all, if I cannot conceive of getting out of bed, and believe that my limbs have the ability to make this happen, lying in bed is my lot in life.

This is not to say that there are no such things as material wealth, or its lack, which we call poverty. I am (some days of the month) an economist; how can I deny such a reality? However, wealth and poverty in these terms are purely comparative measures. If you possess comparatively more than the average, you are materially wealthy. If you possess less, you are materially poor. Many materially wealthy people became that way because they understood that wealth is a state of mind. Many materially poor people remain in poverty because they fail to understand this truth that wealth is a state of mind.. To get out of poverty, mental or spiritual, one must understand that wealth is a state of mind.

Is this the thing you most desire?

Working for Yourself: A Great Decison

So you’ve finally decided to take the plunge? Congratulations. There are few things in life as rewarding as working for yourself. Unfortunately, according to the statisticians (pessimistic eggheads!), 97 out of every 100 of you self-employed juggernauts that read this blog post will fail. Don’t get mad at me. I can’t do anything about it. I’m not a statistician; I don’t control the extrapolations, regression analysis or the other exotic sounding things that particular lot does. I’m just the messenger. Put that knife away.

What I can do, what I hope to do here, is even the odds a little bit. 97% of those who start home-based businesses will fail, no matter what I do. Let’s face it; the average person has a heaping helping of the “don’t get it” gene, and they never will. That’s why they’re average. There’s nothing wrong with being average, but if you are here, that’s not what you want to be. Good for you. Average people are boring. They don’t mean to be, and there’s certainly nothing wrong with being boring, except that it’s, well, boring.

This is a place of repose and learning for the exceptional. I mean that. The exceptional will take the advice, tips and tools given here and leverage them into something meaningful. By meaningful, I mean, profitable. You see, no matter whether you are the CEO of a Fortune 500 company or a college dropout trying to make it big in affiliate marketing so that you can get out of your crappy apartment, there are certain rules to running a successful business. The applications may differ, but the rules remain the same.
